Location:
  Clark Education City is centrally located within the picturesque Asian region of Clark Freeport Zone, also known as Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ). The Philippines is the 3rd largest English speaking country in the world.  The unique campus of 300,000 square metres is purpose built with all facilities onsite.  Leisure, shopping and other facilities are also located within the area.

Safety:  A secure campus is fully fenced with 24/7 security personnel.  The campus is located within the Clark Freeport Zone which itself is securely fenced with dedicated national police within the zone.  There is a minimal population living within the zone.

WHAT ARE THE FACILITIES LIKE?

Small class sizes:  Clark Education City ensures staff are able to focus their time and attention on individual students.
The Design:  Open and spacious, the campus site is fully landscaped and provides a relaxing environment to both study and live.  Further significant investment is being undertaken due to increased student demand, including fit out of new dormitories, lab training equipment and facilities.

Campus Living Facilities:  All inclusive living facilities comprising dormitory style accommodation, 3 meals per day, including provision of bed linen, towels and housekeeping.  Living facilities include ample recreational space and communal meeting areas, including medical centre, convenience store, and onsite personal laundry, sporting and other leisure facilities. There is a uniquely designed 30,000 seat amphitheatre, which is used for various events.

Living and learning in English:
  Campus is 100% English speaking, including all course communication, verbal and written. A diverse mix of nationalities ensures that all students are required to use their English skills to communicate. By providing a supportive and encouraging environment we help students to settle in quickly and make lifelong friendships with other students from around the world.

HOW LONG WILL MY STUDY DURATION BE AT CLARK?

Clark Education City courses are designed to provide students for successful educational and career development under the Australian Vocational Training system, recognised globally. Most students will study between 1 month and 12 months before having the option to either continue on to assisted job placement, or may choose to continue their studies or individually explore career opportunities

WHAT ARE THE AGE AND EDUCATION LEVELS REQUIRED FOR STUDYING CLARK EDUCATION CITY?

Age Requirements:  Minimum of 18 on course commencement.
Education Requirements:  Completion of Secondary Education

WHAT ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDYING AT CLARK EDUCATION CITY?

Clark offers a relaxed International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score requirements depending on your choice of course selection.

WILL THERE BE AN ENTRANCE EXAM?

Clark Education City is non-selective. However, students will be expected to provide proof of their English level and we will seek to obtain copies of their school reports.  Some students may be required to combine an English course with their chosen subject course to increase their IELTS standards.

WHO ARE MY FEES PAID TO?

Payments of fees are paid direct to Clark Education City.

IS THERE A UNIFORM? AND ARE STUDENT STUDY BOOKS SUPPLIED?

Yes:  There is a simple comfortable cotton shirt provided, which forms part of the all-inclusive package. Additional uniform accessories may be purchased.
Yes:  Course consumables form part of the package. You may wish to purchase extra consumables from our convenience store.

ARE MY RELIGIOUS AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS RESPECTED AND FACILITATED WHILST STUDYING?

Yes:  All cultural needs and diets are catered for.

DO YOU OFFER CAREER COUNSELLING, PROVIDING ADVICE IN EFFICIENT PATHWAY OPTIONS?

Yes:  This is the most important question you can ask yourself.  Consider what you'll learn from your experience and how you can incorporate these skills into fast tracking your career goals.

WHAT LEISURE ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE OFF CAMPUS?

CSEZ is a clean and spacious environment, supporting a healthy leisure and tourism market with a wide range of facilities including shopping centres, duty free, banking, medical facilities, international hotels, golf courses, theme parks, and other facilities.

Additionally, Subic Bay is easily accessible from Clark Freeport Zone; approximately 45 minutes drive. Subic Bay offers additional leisure activities including calm swimming beaches. Angeles City is located immediately outside the gated security entrance to the zone. With a population of approximately 400,000, it also provides all services and facilities of a small size city, without the congestion of larger centres.

Our campus provides free weekend bus services to local shopping centres and additional weekend recreational leisure activities.

WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT FACTORS REGARDING MY STUDY EXPERIENCE?

Some factors to consider during the selection process are cost, security, courses offered, length of course, cross-cultural experiences, ease of visa entry, location, globally recognised vocational training, further study and/or future job pathway opportunities are crucial all of which Clark offers.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I APPLY FOR A CLARK EDUCATION CITY STUDY PROGRAM?

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ONCE I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED?

Once you have been accepted you will need to follow the instructions outlined within the enrolment procedure.

DO I RECEIVE COURSE CREDIT OR TRANSFER CREDIT, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS ‘RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING’ (RPL) FOR PREVIOUS COURSES STUDIED?

As Clark Education City operates to the standards Australian Quality Training Framework, you receive credit the same as for having undertaken (AQTF) courses in Australia. For non (AQTF) programs, this is course specific and also related to your current IELTS score. Your Clark Education City professional development mentors and its accredited agents will assist you in tailoring a career plan focussed towards your objectives.

HOW ARE GRADES PROCESSED WHEN MY COURSE IS OVER?

Once the registrar receives the grades from Clark Education City, they will be checked for approval and processed. All grades received will appear on your official Statement of Results.

CAN I WORK WHILST STUDYING AT CLARK EDUCATION CITY?

Student visa conditions do not allow any paid work for international students during your studies at Clark Education City.

However, as a guide, even after taking into account the income that may be earned through part time work in Australia, the significantly higher course costs and living costs is greater than the income. Hence, students are financially ahead when studying in .

DO YOU OFFER PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN CHOSEN COURSE OPTIONS?

Yes:  as part of practical training all students undertake on the job training as part of their course real world experience with multinational and other companies to further develop your skills and networks. This is arranged by your teachers and tutors as part of your course.

DOES CLARK OFFER STRONG INDUSTRY PLACEMENT LINKS WITH NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES?

DOES ACHIEVING MY AUSTRALIAN ACCREDITATION AT CLARK EDUCATION CITY GIVE ME A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE?

COMPETENCY BASED ASSESSMENT

Competency Based Assessment is the process of collecting evidence and making judgements on whether competence has been achieved. It conforms that an individual can perform to the standard expected in the work place as expressed in the relevant endorsed industry/enterprise competency standards. The Competency Based Assessment process will be conducted in an open, transparent and accountable manner emphasising the aspects of equality for all.  

DO I REQUIRE OVERSEAS HEALTH INSURANCE WHILST STUDYING AT CLARK?

Yes:  This is a standard requirement by Clark Education City for the duration of the course.
