OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
Apply OHS practices in the workplace Document occupational hazards and risks in electrical

ADMINISTRATION
Source and purchase materials/parts for installation or service jobs
Provide quotations for installation or service jobs

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Deliver a service to customers
Provide basic instruction in the use of electro-technology apparatus
Comply with scheduled and preventative maintenance program processes

ELECTRO-TECHNOLOGY
Participate in electrical work and competency development activities
Dismantle, assemble and fabricate electro-technology components
Find and repair faults in d.c electrical apparatus and circuits
Lay and connect cables for multiple access telecommunication services
Solve problems in extra-low voltage single path circuits
Solve problems in multiple path d.c. circuits
Fix and secure equipment
Use drawings, diagrams, schedules and manuals
Lay wiring and terminate accessories for extra-low voltage circuits
Solve problems in electromagnetic circuits
Solve problems in single and three phase low voltage circuits
Install wiring and accessories for low voltage circuits
Install low voltage electrical apparatus and associate equipment
Select and arrange equipment for general electrical installations
Verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations
Find and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits
Develop and connect control circuits
Install and maintain emergency systems
Troubleshoot d.c. power supplies with single phase input
